Colorado Landmark, Realtors sponsoring Luxury Open House & Fine Art Exhibit/Sale in Beautiful Niwot, Colorado May 21 - 23
A unique event is slated for May 21-23 at 6721 Niwot Hills Drive in Niwot, Colorado. This incredible house will be held open to the public featuring world-class paintings, sculpture, fiber art, and jewelry by prominent and emerging local artists. This event is presented through the collaboration of Terrel Construction, Colorado Landmark, Realtors, Gallery 1261, Abend Gallery, and Boulder County local artists.
An exclusive invitation-only event will be held at the home the evening of Friday, May 21st.
The Open House, Art Exhibit and Sale is open to the public on Saturday and Sunday, May 22nd and 23rd. Hours will be: 10 am - 6 pm on Saturday and 10 am - 4 pm on Sunday.
The brand new luxury home in the beautiful Niwot Hills subdivision is exclusively listed by Joel Ripmaster of Colorado Landmark, Realtors for $2,695,000. It features over 11,000 square feet, 5 bedrooms, 5 ½ baths, and exquisite finishes on a full acre backing to open space.
Participating artists, in association with Gallery 1261 in Denver, include three prominent Colorado artists Quang Ho, Daniel Sprick, and Scott Fraser.
Quang Ho is an internationally recognized artist whose work is highly sought-after by collectors and galleries. His paintings have been described as ‘expressive realism’ but he prefers not to categorize his work as either abstract or any other painting style. As an instructor at the Denver Art Students League, Ho teaches and inspires his devoted students while continuing to produce and sell outstanding artwork.
Daniel Sprick is a Glenwood Springs resident whose works can be found in the National Museum of Art, the Smithsonian Institution, the Denver Art Museum, and many other notable public collections. Sprick’s style has been described as contemporary realism with a profound surreal quality.
Scott Fraser, an esteemed Longmont resident, is also a contemporary realist, who often injects his work with subtle humor. His artwork is included in the collections of the New York Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Denver Art Museum, and numerous international collections.
20 artists showcased are from the Boulder/Longmont area, including Jason Emery, Olga Plam, Boris Sarikov, Colleen Hoerner, and Judith Trager.
Jason Emery is a colorist representational artist whose signature style incorporates broad strokes and juicy colors. He works primarily en plein air (on location) and is recognized this year as a returning participant in the prestigious 18th Annual Governor's Invitational Art Show.
Olga Plam is a Russian born painter whose realist painting technique is highly influenced by the Old Masters. She is a signature member of the Oil Painters of America (OPA) and has been recognized with national awards and whose artwork resides in private collections internationally.
Boris Sarikov, sculptor, came to the United States from Bulgaria. His work incorporates a variety of materials including silver, gold, bronze, and natural elements including wood and stone. His works are owned by the Belgian royal family and private collectors from New York, Paris, Zurich, and throughout Europe.
Colleen Hoerner, a contemporary realist pastel artist, creates paintings with vibrant color in a variety of subjects including landscapes, still lifes, portraits, wildlife, and architecture. Her award winning works have appeared in the Artist’s Magazine, Pastel Journal and American Art Collector.
Judith Trager is an internationally known quilt artist whose work has appeared in many major exhibitions. Her work is highly sought-after and is displayed in multiple public, museum, corporate and private collections.
Other Gallery 1261 artists featured include Carolyn Anderson, C.W. Mundy, Mark Nelson, John McCaw, Dan McCaw, Danny McCaw, and sculpture artists, Bill Starke and Tony Hochstetler.
Participating artists whose work is represented by Abend Gallery (also in Denver) include noted portrait artist Dan Beck, Zhaoming Wu, western artist Nathan Solano, and Deborah Bays as well as Tim Deibler, David Harms, Robert Spooner, Bruce A. Gomez and others.
Other local artists participating include established artist and instructor Rick Stoner, landscape painters John Taft and Chris Groves, public artist Mario Echevarria, and sculptor Jerry Boyle. Additionally, two jewelry artists, Linda Miller and Robin Richardson will be participating.
